Thanks to all who attended Sealed with a Wish!!!:
We did it--we raised enough to grant a wish! With more than $6,000 raised through donations at the door, silent auction bids and the bachelor auction, we will soon be granting a wish with the Illinois chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation! Thank you to all who participated in making this event a success, from those of you who found silent auction items and bachelors to those of you who helped decorate and man the event to those of you who bid on items and bachelors! Extra special thanks go out to Kristin Winters and Erica Islas for creating the bid paddles, to Sarah Vargo and her staff at Maven for getting us some great publicity, to our friends at Make-A-Wish for participating in our event, to Erica Behnke for creating and updating www.chiodateauction.com, to Rachel Enstrom for creating bachelor brochures for the event and to Heather Frank for coordinating everything!

Cute owl earrings/accessories at Etsy:

Thanks to all who came to the 1154 Lill event!:
We raised $317.40 for the Illinois chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation just by doing something we enjoyed--creating and purchasing purses and other accessories!
Congrats to our own executive board/committee members!:
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our executive board and dedicated committee members, our chapter came home from Convention 2008 with not one but TWO alumnae chapter awards! We won an award for our participation in the 2007 Elusinian event with the four other area alumnae chapters. We also won an award for Sisterhood, regarding our relationships with both the Rho Mu chapter at DePaul and the Xi chapter at Northwestern. This is no doubt thanks to our many chapter members who serve in advisory positions with both undergraduate chapters, as well as those of us who volunteer and attend social, philanthropic and sisterhood events with or in support of these chapters. Congratulations ladies!
Doggie Playdates:
If you have a pup and you'd like to join other Chi Os for organized doggie playdates at local dog parks/beaches, e-mail Maggie Ross to be added to the e-mail list. The plan is to arrange some dates for Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons.
Exercise Buddies:
We're finalizing a list of interested Chi Os by neighborhood/interests/ gyms before organizing some runs and walks along the lake and in neighborhoods. E-mail Maggie Ross if you would like to be added to the list!
If you have anything you would like listed in our new bulletin board section, please send it to Nicole Voges, and include any pertinent information, along with contact information.
